Bassist, vocalist, writer, and producer Dave Pomeroy will be hosting a show at the Bluebird Dec. 19 @ p 9 p.m., featuring special guests vocalist Regina McCrary, keyboardist Kevin McKendree and Pat Bergeson on guitar and harmonica. Dave has been playing the Bluebird since 1984, with bands such as Blue Monday and Tone Patrol, artists including Mose Allison and Hal Ketchum, and for many years in the house band with the First Amendment Center’s “Freedom Sings” program.

Collectively, these four legendary Nashville performers have worked with a wide array of iconic artists including Bob Dylan, Chet Atkins, Elton John, Brian Setzer, Peter Frampton, and Joe Bonamossa, to name just a few. Dave and his friends will be telling stories, swapping songs, and collaborating in various combinations in a variety of musical genres. The intimate atmosphere of the Bluebird will make for a unique musical experience. and the audience will experience an unforgettable evening of musical performances, including some memorable Christmas music.

24th Annual Nashville Unlimited Christmas benefit concert for Room in the Inn Tuesday December 12th 2023 - 7:00pm

The 24th annual “Nashville Unlimited Christmas” benefit concert for Room in the Inn will be Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 7 p.m. This popular holiday tradition is held at the beautiful Christ Church Cathedral at 900 Broadway. “Nashville Unlimited Christmas” is produced and hosted by bassist Dave Pomeroy, with acclaimed singer/songwriter Don Henry as co-host. This annual concert has raised more than $502,000 for the amazing work that Room in the Inn does for Nashville’s homeless community.

This year’s musical guests include Emmylou Harris, Charlie McCoy, the Nashville Jazz Orchestra, led by Ted Wilson, Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, The McCrary Sisters, Portara Ensemble, and more, including as always, some surprise guests. As always, this is a free concert, with a $20 suggested minimum donation. Over the We will be posting an online link very soon for those who would like to donate and cannot attend the concert. We will really appreciate all of you spreading the word about this unique event.

Dave Pomeroy, creator of this annual Nashville tradition, talked about this year’s show: “In addition to our wonderful musical guests, we are fortunate to have Brad Hall and a world class video and audio team to record and stream this special concert honoring the work of Room in the Inn. Our second annual “For Those We Lost” benefit concert last night at 3rd & Lindsley was an incredible night of music, stories, and love, and we raised $15,000 for the Nashville Musicians Association Funeral Benefit Fund! We are so grateful to live in a community like Nashville where we support one another in times of need. This will help every single member of Local 257 and their beneficiaries, and is so appreciated.

AFM Local 257 is excited to spread the news about our second annual “For Those We Lost” benefit concert, next Tuesday, Oct. 17 at one of Nashville’s premier venues, 3rd & Lindsley and also a free live stream online via volume.com. This special concert is a fundraiser for the Nashville Musicians Funeral Benefit Fund. Since the pandemic, the fund has paid out more than $400,000 to the beneficiaries of members who have passed. This fund is one of the last of its kind in the AFM, and it is funded by the members as part of their annual dues.

It features Dave on lead vocals, acoustic guitar and bass, with Rob Ickes on slide guitar, Pat Bergeson on harmonica, and Regina McCrary on background vocals. It will be available for download on Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms as well. The video will debut on Dave YouTube channel at midnight on Sept. 27 as well. Enjoy!

Attention Nashville music lovers are gathering at the Eastside Bowl on August 13 and 20 for benefit concerts to help raise money to help our good friend, beloved sound engineer Frank Sass, who has been going through some tough medical struggles and needs our help. Dave will go on at 2:30 p.m on August 13, playing a solo set to kick things off. Gretchen Peters will be next up at 3:30 and several legendary Music City rock bands are performing as well. Come on down and help a good man out!! That's the Nashville Way.

Eastside Bowl - Benefit for Frank Sass! Sunday August 13th 2023 - 2:00pm

This is the first of two benefits for our friend, sound engineer Frank Sas, who is dealing with some serious medical issues and needs our help. I am opening the show on Sunday, August 13, with a solo set. Other guests include Gretchen Peters, Bill Lloyd, Kim Richey, The Shazam and more! The eastside Bowl is a very cool venue, looking forward to playing there for the first time.

At the 102nd AFM Convention, Dave was elected to the position of AFM INternational VIce President. He remains as President of the Nashville Musicians Association, AFM Local 257. He served on the AFM International Executive Board for 13 years from 2010 to 2023. Tino Gagliardi is the new AFM International President, and Ken Shirk is the new AFM Secretary/Treasurer. I have been the president of Nashville Musicians Association, AFM Local 257, since 2009, and in 2010 I was elected to the AFM International Executive Board. After serving 4 terms as an AFM International Executive Board member, Dave has announced that he is running for International Vice President at the upcoming AFM's 102nd Convention in June 2023 in Las Vegas. He will continue his 15-year run as President of the Nashville Musicians Association, AFM Local 257, and is running as part of the "Team Progress" slate, headed by Tino Gagliardi running for AFM President, and including Ken Shirk (Secretary/Treasurer) Alan Willaert for Canadian VP, Pomeroy, and Tina Morrison, Ed Malaga, Stephanie O'Keefe, Tracy Whitney, and Luc Fortin.
